100 Chocolates

Today. Today is a special day.

265 days ago I gave Ansil one last hug and waved as he disappeared into a sea of camouflage. That means that just 100 days from now... I can fairly reasonably* expect him home. <3

Thanks to the creative genius and terrific support of my friends and fabulous sisters-in-law, I can now present to you the very best paper chain count down ever:

It spans 3 walls...

it's splendidly colorful...

And the very best part?

Oh Yeah. Chocolate!!!

See you in 100 days, sweetheart. <3

*I am under no illusions. It is the Army, after all.

Piano!!

Ansil and I have been saving up for some little while now and, well, we finally did it! Here's the gorgeous new addition to our life:

Ansil is already a skilled pianist. I, on the other hand... Well, I'm a work in progress. I'm playing around with it the best I can and Ansil has promised to give me private lessons as soon as he gets home. :)

So excited!!!

Apple Picking

I love french fries. Deeply. Passionately. Ansil knows this so well he even gave me a McDonald's gift card on my last birthday especially for the purchase of said guilty pleasure. So guess what lucky little me got to do this Saturday?

Yep! All mine. <3

Ahem... So actually, I went apple picking. Those beautiful examples of fried frenchy goodness were actually enjoyed at the lovely Huber's Orchard up in Indiana. I ventured up there with my friend Val and we had a beautiful afternoon plucking juicy apples straight from the tree.

And did I mention the food? :)

Yum!
